DIY Lipscrub

As promised in my previous post, I have a DIY Lipscrub for you guys!! I absoutly love this and have
been using this everyday and I'm loving it!! As I loved it so much I thought I'd share this with you...

You will need -
Sugar
Cooking oil
Honey
Flavourings (optional)
Food colouring (optional)
Container
Pot to put the finished product in

How To Make It ...

1. Put a tablespoon of sugar into a container. This will make up the main part of the scrub.
2. Add about half a tablespoon of cooking oil (to be honest it's doesn't matter the type of cooking oil) which will make your lips feel soft. Mix the cooking oil with the sugar.
3. So I just had about enough honey to do this step. Add between a quarter and half a tea spoon. You don't want a lot as it's just used to stick the sugar together.
4. This step is optional but you can add some flavouring or food colouring. I added a few drops of lemon juice to give it a lemony taste.
5. Put the scrub into a different container and you have a lip scrub!!

I couldn't believe how easy this DIY was and it actually works really well! Let me know what you think I'm the comments below.

Favouite Lip Scrub

It's that time of year where our lips get dry and flaky and you find yourself in need of a good lip scrub. My all time favouite has to be the lush Sweet Things lip scrub. I absolutely adore this product as it gives you soft lips and tastes delicious! It cost £5.95 which may seem like a lot but the product lasts and it's so worth it! You can also get this product in bubble gum which tastes sweet and leaves your lips smooth but let's be honest, I prefer chocloate! I would highly reccomend this to anyone!!! Espically if you suffer from dry lips like me.

What's your favouite lip scrub/salve, let me know in the comments

Cheap Christmas Ideas - for her

So if you missed my last blog post (click here to view it) I showed you guys my ideas for my dad on a budget. I did the same thing for a gift bag for my mum and I thought I'd share my ideas with you lovely people of the Internet.

Savers is one of the best places to get present for your mum or any girl in general in a budget. I brought a love hearts candle in the flavour Red Cherry for £1. It smells super sweet and looks super cute. I mean who dosent live candles? Next I brought her two bath bombs, one lavender and one strawberry. I haven't tied them yet but they look really pretty and I'm sure my mum will love them. The next thing I picked up from savers was a reed diffuser (if that what it's called). My mum is into the whole 'making our hous e smell nice thing' and I saw it and thought of her. I can't remeber if it was £1 or £1.99 but it's wasn't expensive. I also got her a bottle or rspberry pavlova bubble bath/shower gel. I love raspberries and was kind of hoping I could use some ... I bit greedy I know.

I brought two things from pound land which included a mini box of Thorntons chocolates becuase who doesn't like chocolate? It was such a good buy and super good value. I also brought her a mini bath set containing shower gel, body butter and a bath bomb. I thought this looked adorable and suited my mum tastes perfectly.

My main present to my mum was the CD Its The Girls by Bette Midler because my mum absolutely adores her so I've just ordered it off amazon for her. I know she's going to love it.

So that's all I've got for my mum, what have you guys brought for your mum or best friend. Let me know in the comments.

Cheap Christmas ideas - For Him

Hey guys it's finally Christmas time!! Which also means the most expensive time of the year and as a college student with no part time job, it's Christmas on a budget this year. The hardest person to buy for was defiantly my dad (don't know if it's just me) so I thought I'd show you little stocking filler that I brought for my dad all for £1 (and maybe get some ideas from you guys about what I'm missing). I also brought him a mini box of Thorntons chocolates from pound land as well for him.

So the first thing I brought my dad was some Star Wars shaped chocolates. My dad is a HUGE Star Wars fan I found here and decided he needed them for Christmas. They were from pound land and I'm sure he love them.

I also brought him a box of latte packets which I thought would be perfect for him to take to work. My Ada loves lattes and coffe in general so I thought these would be perfect and Sy were form pound land so they were great value as well.

I brought him some shower gel, shaving foam and deodorant as well because I didn't know what else to buy him and my mum had way more presents then him (and still does) so I thought I'd buy him something he can use everyday.

The last thing in my dads sticking is Hot Fuzz on DVD. My dad loves this film and whenever it's on TV we also seem to miss some of it so I found this for £2 at the charity shop.

Ok so that all the affordable stuff I have for my dad so far and I kind of need some more ideas... Have any suggestions?

November Favourites

PAnother month has past which means it's November favouites time! It also means Christmas is in 25 days which means I can finally get all excited for Christmas and start decorating woo!!! So here's what I've been loving this month....

So for make up there have been three products that I have been loving this month and this first is the NYC Brown Eyes Plallete (938 Union Square). I absolutely love this pallete and have just brought a new one as it has everything you would need for a pallete. I've just purchased a new one which cost me £1.99 (normally £3.99) and I love it! It come with a primer, highlighter, 4 shades and an applicator. This looks amazing when used properly and even has instructions on where to put each shade. I would highly reccomend it.

The next is one of my favouite lipstick brands W7 , The Reds in the shade forever red. It's not actually a red shade , more like a dark sparkly pink which I love. It stays on for ages and this is a definite winter colour. If you've been reading my blog for a while you will know that I have been useig this brand for ages and stand by it and at only £1 you can't really go wrong!

So the last product I have been loving is again form W7 and is the Showing Out mascara. As you can see by the picture the brush is huge and the ball shape on the end helps add volume to every single lash. It defiantly make your lashes look so much thicker and I have been using this for a few days and it looks absolutely amazing. This may even be one of my favouite mascaras and I will be
repurchasing 100%!

Ok so that's all my beauty favouites do now onto TV and music. The TV show I have been loving this month is Charmed. Yes I know it finished years ago but my friend got me into it and once I found out it was on Netflix I have been watching it nonstop. No spoiler I'm only on season 2!!
The music I have been loving this month has been Four by One Direction. I got this on pre order for my birthday and it arrived on time and I was so excited to hear it. My favouite track is probably Where do Broken Hearts Go but I actually like all of them.

So that's what I've been loving this month, what have you been loving this month ?

5. I love photography and art and thought I could use this in my blog
6. I wanted to share my passion for health and beauty win others who feel the same
7. I needed new hobby that wasn't binge watching TV box sets

Little Mix Nail Wraps Reveiw - Jesy's design

So I brought these a little while ago from Savers for £1 when they were on offer (they may still be in offer) and thought I'd save them for comicon (which is tomoorw btw.. Ahhh) as I thought they would fit right in. So I've had these on for a few days and I have to say I'm impressed with how long they've lasted. I put a top coat on even though the instruction told me not to because last time I had nail wraps the chipped easily and having the top coat has defiantly helped stop this from happening. I've had so many comment saying how cool my nails look and I absolutely love the design. I also has some perrie done which I have worn before and the Perrie design is still my favourite but I still adore these nails and I will defiantly repurchase them.

Have you ever tried any nail wraps and if so what do you think?

A message to my friend Jess ....

If you've been reading my posts for a while you'll knew I have a friend called jess who wants to start a blog but is nervous about what the world will think about her. She's always been worried about what people think about her so I thought I dedicate a post to her and anyone else in her situation.

Jess, you've been there for me through so much and I k kW this is your dream. Don't let people get in the way of your dreams. If they don't understand why you want to do this then forget them. They don't matter because you will always have me and the followers I am 100% sure you will get because I don't know anyone that dislikes you. Sure you've put this off for along as possible but I think it's time to do this because if you don't do it now you never will and I know you will regret this for the rest of your life. What I'm trying to say is I will be for you no matter what so don't be scared.
I know your blog may not be the best but you'll get the hang of it and I will get better as you do more. I believ in you and that's all that matters

Top 5 TV Shows

Hello my name is Geogie and I'm addicted to television.
So I'm just going to hold my hands up and say I watch too much television. It was hard to chose my top five as there were shows that didn't make it like the 100 or Criminal Minds or The Flash or Glee but I have to say  these are defiantly my top 5. Let me know if you agree.

5. NCIS Los Angeles
Even though there isn't an Abby or a Gibbs I prefer this to the original. A lot more action happens like more stuf blows up and the murders are genuinlly more epic. I love the plot lines, espically when Kensi was in Afghanistan. Just saying wayyyyy better than the original.

4. Arrow
Ok I'm just going to put it out there - I'm obsessed with superheroes and ninjas and this show combines both of them. I'm excited for this season with Ra's Al Ghul as he is the ninja king. So if you don't watch  arrow (which you should) it's about a man who comes home after being lost at sea for five years but he's learnt a few tricks along the way. He shipwrecked on an island where he was trained to fight with an arrow against the enemy there. After returning home he uses his new skill set to save his city from crime. It's awesome... Just saying.

3. Rookie Blue
I have been obsessed with this show since the first episode aired and now we're on season 5. It's set in a police station in Canada around a group of rookies. It focuses on the drama in and out of the police station and I can't wait for the rest of season 5.

2. Pretty Little Liars
Yes I am I typical teenage girl by picking this but if you start watching it you won't be able to stop I promise. My record is 14 episodes in one day... And I'm not even ashamed! It's based around a group of four girls who reconnect over the discovery of their best friends "body" and strange threatening messages from A. It's follows them trying find out what happened to Alison, discover who A is and fit in boyfriends here and there. Just saying my favouite character us Aria.

1. Game of Thrones
If you don't watch Game Of Thrones welcome back to society becaus I can only assume you've been living under a rock. My favouite character is Arya and I would defiantly be a Stark ... I have it on a t-shirt if that's not enough proof. Whenever my and my dad have free time we watch as May episodes as we can. Sometimes it can be awkward with my dad but it's so good I couldn't really care less. I'm 110% obsessed!

Do you guys watch any of these or what would you put on your top 5?

Miss Sporty Holographic Effect polish review

Ok I have to admit I was a little bit curious by this product and it was only £1.99 and the Missy Sporty brand had a 3 for 2 deal at Boots so it was basically free for me! I absolutely love this look and I added some black and blue spots to my thumb and ring finger to make the look more interesting and stand out more. Ok, so the actual polish: I love the sparkley effect which makes It look sort of holographic. I don't know if it gave a full holographic effect but for the price I was quite impressed withe the turn out

Pros-
*Good value for money
*The sparkles give a good effect
*Looks amazing with costumes or for a party
*The base colour is a gorgeous mataloic colour

Cons -
*A few coats are needed to give a bolder colour
*A top coat is needed as it chips easily

I actually really liked the product and they also have a textured range which has just been realised and I think I might give that product a try due to the fact that I love this polish. Would I reccomend this product? Yes... Yes I would.

Have you guys tried this polish or any other by Miss Sporty? If so what do you think?

October Favourites

Happy November everyone! Another month has passed so that,Evans it's time for my October favourites. I have three products that I have been loving this months which are the Bobbi Brown Soothing Vleansing Oil, Little Mix Nial wraps, and the Blusher set by Body Collection.

Bobbi Brown Cleansing oil,
This was given to me a while ago and I've only just started using it again reccently. To used it I put a cotton pad under hot-ish water and then add two or three pumps onto the pad. This product is honestly one of the best cleansers I've ever tried and it lags ages as you only need a small amount. I think it was around £20 so I wouldn't buy it myself I would probably ask for it as gifts as it is a bit more expensive but I do really love this and it really helps keep my skin clear. It works well in sensitive skin as well as I do has refrains to some products but nothing like that has happened yet. I would highly reccomend this product espically of you have sensitive skin a dn find it difficult to find a cleanser.

Body Collection Blusher Set
So I'm not actually sure where you can buy this brand because I brought it in a small market style shop called Kerri Ann's which I such am amazing shop (and click here to see if there a store near you) if you ha e one locally you are so lucky as I brought this while visiting my nan and I wish I had one near me! This I at me £1.50 and it is the best blusher set I have ever purchased. It has a colour for every look and I use it everyday. It isn't to heavy when you apply it so there's no change of looking like a clown. It's quite sutle colour but still ads plenty of colour to your cheeks. Honesty please let me know if I can buy this brand anywhere else as I would love to try some more of there products.

Little Mix Nail Wraos (By Elegant Touch)

So I actually brought Hess a few weeks ago as they were only £1 in savers and they were such a good deal. I did buy two Perrie ones and used one of them for Halloween. I also brought a pack of Jesy's because I thought they would be perfect for when I went to comicon in Novemeber as they would fit trigger in! These are quite easy to apply if you follow the instinct ions and last ages if applied correctly. I'm so glad I brought them as the look so cute and everyone always asks me about them. 100% would repurchase, espically for parties.

What have you been loving this month, let me know in the comments.

Love, Georgie xx

What I got for my birthday

So on Wednesday I turned 17 and I thought I'd share a few of the things I got and what I did. I didn't do anything massive because last year I did a lot for my birthday (I went to Thrope Park Fright Night and went out with loads of my friends for a meal) I thought I wouldn't do anything special. All I did was go out for a meal with my best friend and my family. Yep, I'm easy to please I know. We just went to the Harvester and went shopping afterwards which was a lovely way to spend my birthday.

What I got..

1. DC Comics year by year edition -my parents got this for me because they know that I'm kind of obsessed with superheroes. This book contains pretty much everything you can know about DC which is pretty cool.
2. Fantasy Life - ok I know I'm 17 now but I still love my DS ok? I absoutly love this game. To me,
it's a combination of animal crossing and legend of zelda and I highly reccomend it!
3. Looking For Alaska by John Green - my little brother actually got this for me because he knows
how much I loved the fault in our stars. Isn't he cute? I so excited to read this and everyone has told
me it's worth reading so I have high expectations!
4. Therory books and driving lessons - so my mums decided that I need to learn to drive which I kind of have mixed feelings about. I think I'm going to be a terrible driver but I'm just going to get it over and done with. Hopefully it's not to bad.
5. Necklace - I got the most gorgeous little necklace from my friend and it's looks super adorable with everything. It looks quite expensive so I'm trying my best to take care of it!
6. Batman headphones - I broke my headphones so my mum brought me these to replace them and of course they had to be superhero of course. I think she got these from Sports Direct.
7. River island voucher - I got a £20 voucher from my friend and so far I've only spent £5 (so proud) on a dress.

I absoutly love this dress as it's quite thick and looks amazing on. To make things even better it cost me £5 in the sale... What a bargain! This dress is perfect for autum/winter.

So my favouite present which I had been waiting for since FOREVER is 1989 by Taylor Swift and the pre order for Four by One Direction which I can't wait to come out!!!

My CD came with these cute little Polaroids which have lyrics written in them. My two favourite tracks are Bad Blood and Blank Space... But every single one of them is amazing as well. I really hope she does a tour for this album because the Red tour was so amazing (I went in Febuary) and I really want to see her again.

What did you guys get for your birthday this year or what are you hoping to get?

As always, don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin here,

#teenblogsunite #4 - Baking

Ok so I'm just gonna put it out there that I'm not the best baker in the world. I don't really have a lot of time to do so and when I do I need it to be quick and simple. One of my favouite things to bake are Ginger Biscuits because they are super easy and are super yummy as well. Let's get started then...

Ingredients

  • 125g softened margarine or butter
  • 125g demerara or dark brown soft sugar
  • 1 egg yolk (if you can't seperate it just add the White)
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 180g self raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

Equipment

Mixing bowl
Whisk
Baking tray
Grease proof paper
Teaspoon
Tablespoon
Scales
Sieve
Wooden spoon

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Cut the grease proof paper to fit the tray. If you don'thave grease proof paper use a thin amount of butter or oil.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar with the whack. When they are done they should be beaten together till they resemble the consistency of whipped cream.
  3. Beat in the egg yolk and syrup with the butter and sugar.
  4. Combine the ginger and the flour. Sieve into the butter mixture and fold together gently.
  5. Spoon walnut sized balls onto the prepared tray, then flatten each slightly with the back of a fork or just use a spoon or your hands... It works either way.
  6. Bake the biscuits in the oven for about 12-17 minutes or until they are golden brown.

See what I mean? So simple. What do you guys like to bake and what to you think of this recipe?

LA Colors Color Craze Review

So I found this brand of nail varnish at the chemist and they were only £1 a bottle! I thought I'd pick a few up and try them out and they did not disappoint! I brought three colours (one of them is a top coat) and I absolutely love it! The colour is so pigmented which I was hoping for from the title 'Color Craze' and I was defiantly not disappointed! The only down side is that I used three coats of 'Dazzle' and 'So Famous' so I would like the formula to be thicker but at £1 I can't really complain. It's great for people on a budget or just starting out in nail varnish.

Dazzle -

So Famous

Broken Hearted (top coat)

Have any of your tried the LA Color nail varnishes ... If so what did you think?

Autumn Boots

So I reccently found these adorable little boots from Primark which are perfect for autumn and look absolutely amazing with everything. They cost me £15 which is an absolute bargain. The heel isn't too big so it makes me look taller (I'm really small okay?) but it doesn't hurt your feet when wearing it. This makes them perfect for pretty much any occasion. The look super cute with playsuits and thick black tights.

What boots are you waering this autumn? How would you style these boots?

#teenblogsunite #3 - Brand focus

So in case you were unaware, I'm doing a series called Teen Bloggs Unite and if you missed my last one you can click here.

So this week I'm discussing my favourite brands so seeing as I've already done a post on my favourite make up brand ,NYC, (click here to view) I would discuss my favourite clothing brand (sorry if that's not allowed)

At the moment I have been loving H&M as it is super affordable for a student and is good quality for the price. I absolutely live the crop tops there (they are my must have fashion item) and I think they start at only £3.99 which is such a good deal. I even love their make up range and the brushes are so good as well as the nail varnishes. I always go in H&M every time I'm i. Town and there's always something j want to buy (which isn't good for the bank balance) I got my college bag from here as well and it hasn't failed me yet!

What's your favouite highstreet shop? And what's the best thing you've brought from H&M, mines the crop top I wore in my last teen blogs unite (click here).

Nail Tutorial #4 - Half Moon

So I know it's been a long time since my last one of these but I thought I was about time for another nail tutorial. This one looks really good and is so simple to do.

All you need is :
*Hole Reniforcers (you'll know what I mean in a bit)
*Two different nail colours
*Top coat

Step one -
Paint your nails the first colour (you can add a base coat if you want) I went for a sparkley redish pink. I would apply two coats to make sure teh colour is vibrant enough.

Step two -
Cut the hole reinforcers in half. This is going to create the curved shape for this nail design.

Step three -
When the first colour has dried - and I mean COMPLETELY dried - gentley stick the semi circle on the nail.

Step four -
Paint the second nail colour over the sticker. Don't paint over the hole at the bottom as it will craet a different design. I mean you can if you wanna creat a curved stripe.

And when you've painted the final layer remove the sticker and you should have a curved design. If you  put the sticker near the tip of the snip it would look really good for a French manicure design.

What do you guys think of this design and what colours would you use?

Katy Perry Killer Queen review

So if you read my last post you will know that one of my all time favouite perfumes is Killer Queen by Katy Perry. I recently purchased the entire set with the perfume, body lotion and shower gel for under £20 as her new fragrance has just come out. Honestly if your in Savers anytime soon I would highly reccomend purchasing it... You won't regret it.

Ok can I just start by daunting how amazing the bottle looks. It's so pretty and I love the colour scheme and it stand out and looks amazing in any shelf... And the smell lives up to the packaging. It's smells more expensive than it actual is. It has an amazing florals sent but doesn't smell too girly or flowery (if that makes sense). It has it has other sents mixed in such as red berries and put which makes it smell completely original and fabulous in every single way. I was worried that the shower gel and body lotion wouldn't live up to the string smell of the perfume but it did! I love Katy and was not disappointed by this perfume and can't wait to try Royal Revolution.

What's your favouite perfume and have you tried this one? What do you think of the Katy Perry perfumes?

Love Georgie xx

September favourites

So it's time to say goodbye September and hello October (which means it's my birthday this month - just saying) so it's time for me to share my September favourites with you lovely people of the Internet!

So I have four beauty favouites favourites this month which are the Katy Perry Killer Queen perfume, Miss Sporty Studio Lash, Incrediball mascara, Rimmel London 121 lipstick and MUA Lipliner in the shade Brooding Plum.

First off we have the perfume and can we just take in the bottle for a second... It looks amazing! I know that her new perfume has just come out but this is one of my all time favourites and is currently on special offer at Saver as it cost me £19.99 which is such a bargain! It smells so good and I always get tons of comments like 'someone smells nice'. Honestly would 110% reccomend it!

My second favouite(s) are the lip products. I've featured them quite a look this month so click here to see my last post with these products. To sum up I love these two together and I'm finally gonna repurchase.

So last for my beauty products is the mascara which I am loving this month!!! I don't know if I've mentioned this product before but I'm pretty sure I have so I'll keep it simple. The ball gives every lash an equal amount of volume which made me fall in the love with this product.

Music favourites ...
So I have two current music favourites and the first one if Lullaby by Professor Green and Tori Kelly. I can't really say much than I love this song... Even my mum said she loves it and she normally hates any sort of rap music. Just saying it's amazing.
So my second favouite came out at the end of September but I am OBSESSED with it... Not to anyone's surprise it's Steal my Girl by One Direction... This song just gets stuck in my head and I've
being singing it all day today (and annoying my friends in the process). Honestly I can't wait for the
album.

Well that's all I have today folks ... What have guys been loving this month? And have you tried any of these products and what did you think?
Love Georgie xx
